I'm Minhaz, a product designer with 6+ years simplifying highly technical healthcare and enterprise workflows into experiences people actually understand. I work close to engineering and product, design end-to-end, and care about the details most people never notice. I believe great design should move the business forward, not just look good.
A selection of complex healthcare and enterprise problems, and how I designed my way through them, from research to shipped product.
A unified design system and operations platform for medical records exchange used by hospitals, clinics and legal teams.
A patient-facing portal that makes requesting and tracking your own medical records feel effortless.
Adding trusted providers to a directory so records route automatically between verified organisations.
A state-driven workflow for FOIA, open-records and patient-referral requests from intake to fulfilment.
A custodian activation experience that turns a technical EMR integration into a guided, confident setup.
A Vogue award-winning concept store, designed like a real-time magazine that stays luxurious yet approachable.
A portfolio site for a fashion influencer and founder of Reborn, a sustainable clothing line launched with UNHCR.
A redesign of a social decision-making app that helps friends stop overthinking and just decide.
A social crypto trading app that lets new traders copy verified pros and learn the ropes without getting overwhelmed.
A travel app that helps people find trusted local guides and book real local experiences wherever they go.
An e-learning app that lets institutions run classes, exams and results online, for teachers and students alike.
What I actually did in each chapter, the problems solved, the impact, and how I grew.
Leading design across a healthcare interoperability platform, from a shared design system to complex operations, patient and integration workflows.
Designed digital products and systems for a range of B2B and consumer clients, moving from visuals into full product thinking.
Delivered interfaces and brand systems across web and mobile, building the craft foundations I still rely on.
Started my career designing for clients directly, where I learned that design has to solve a business problem to matter.
The beliefs that shape every decision, long before the first pixel.
The simplest solution is the one that survives growth.
Every screen is a sentence. Say one thing clearly.
Beauty that doesn't move the business is decoration.
A rough prototype beats a perfect argument.
The best work happens next to engineering and product.
Opinions start the conversation; data ends it.
If it doesn't work for everyone, it isn't done.
It speeds the craft, it doesn't replace the judgment.
Not a rigid template, a rhythm I return to, tightening or loosening each step to fit the problem.
Understand the real problem and its constraints.
Learn from users, data and prior art.
Frame the problem sharply enough to solve.
Model flows, states and edge cases.
Make it real early and cheaply.
Test with the people who'll use it.
Ship alongside engineering, protecting intent.
Check whether it moved the needle.
Refine with what the data taught us.
AI has become part of how I work end-to-end, from research and prototyping to design systems and shipping. It accelerates the craft and widens what I can explore, but the thinking, taste and product judgment stay human. That’s where the value is.
I turn concepts into working React prototypes with Cursor, Lovable and Claude, so stakeholders react to something real in hours, not weeks.
AI helps me cluster interviews, surface patterns and pressure-test findings quickly, while the judgment and framing stay mine.
I use AI to draft tokens, components and documentation, then refine the craft by hand until it's production-grade.
I design the emerging patterns of AI products, trust, control, transparency, and the handoff between human and machine.
I treat prompts as an interface, engineered for reliable, on-brand, predictable product outputs.
Tighter loops mean more explorations, more validation, and better decisions, without cutting corners on quality.
In practice:Claude · ChatGPT · Cursor · Lovable, woven into ahuman-led product design process.
No progress bars, just what I actually do, what I do it with, and what I'm learning now.
Things I have been thinking through, on complex workflows, design systems, and how AI is changing the way I work.
“Minhaz has a rare ability to take something genuinely complex and make it feel obvious. He designs with the whole product in mind, not just the screen in front of him.”

I design products that make hard things feel simple. For the last six years that's meant living inside healthcare and enterprise software, the kind of complex, high-stakes workflows most people never see.
I started in visual and interface design, drawn to the craft of pixels and type. What kept me here was something harder: the realisation that the best-looking screen is worthless if it doesn't solve a real problem for a real person, or move the business that pays for it.
Today I work end-to-end, from research and information architecture through interaction design, prototyping, design systems and shipping alongside engineering. I'm happiest close to the code and close to the user, translating between the two.
I care most about the problems people find intimidating: dense workflows, compliance, technical setup, medical and legal language. Turning that kind of complexity into something calm and human is the work I want to be doing for the next decade.
Outside the file, I'm a football fan, a coffee lover, an unapologetic design-systems nerd, and someone who genuinely enjoys mentoring other designers. I'm always learning, lately, a lot of it is about AI and how it changes what a designer can do.
