UnstuQ helps you and your friends make decisions on the move. Whether it is choosing a dinner spot or planning a date night, it takes the endless back and forth out of small group decisions. I redesigned the app to make that feel quick and fun.

The Problem

What wasn't working

Group decisions get stuck in long, messy chat threads. Everyone has an opinion, nobody wants to commit, and the plan dies in the group chat.

Goals

What success looked like

  • Make deciding as a group fast and low-pressure.
  • Turn a frustrating back and forth into something playful.
  • Get people to an answer, not just more discussion.
Research

What I learned first

  • Looked at how people actually make plans in group chats.
  • Found where the indecision loop usually breaks down.
Challenges

The hard parts

  • Designing a group interaction that stays light and quick.
  • Getting to a decision without making anyone feel overruled.
Design Process

How I worked through it

  1. 01

    Frame

Turned a decision into a simple, sharable prompt.

  2. 02

    Decide

Made voting fast, visual and a little bit fun.

  3. 03

    Commit

Landed the group on a clear answer, quickly.

Wireframes

Structure before surface

Prototyped the loop from starting a decision to the group landing on one.

User Flow

The path a user takes

  1. 1Start a decision and invite friends
  2. 2Everyone weighs in quickly
  3. 3The group converges on an option
  4. 4Lock in the plan and go
Final UI

Where it landed

A playful, fast little app that gets friends from 'I don't know, you pick' to an actual plan.

Impact

What changed

Faster
Group decisions, less back and forth
Playful
Deciding made fun, not tense
Clearer
An answer, not endless chat
Lessons Learned

What I took away

  • Social features need to feel light or people won't use them.
  • Sometimes the job is to end the conversation, not extend it.
Reflection

Unstuq was a fun reminder that not every product is serious. Some just need to make a small moment easier.
